At the 《Gyeonggi Ceramics Biennale 2026》, participatory programs such as directly stacking clay or solving quizzes by finding artworks within the exhibition hall will be operated. The Korea Ceramic Foundation is conducting events that link exhibition viewing with hands-on experiences at Icheon Cerapia until November 1.

First, the ‘Stacking Clay High Challenge’ is a program where families, friends, or lovers form teams to stack clay as high as possible for 20 minutes. The results for each team will be measured to select 1st to 3rd place, and gift certificates will be awarded according to the rankings.

The program will be held three times a day on weekends and Hangeul Day, etc., at the event zone in the outdoor plaza of the Gyeonggi Museum of Ceramic Art in Icheon, until November 1. Visitors with a Biennale admission ticket on the day can participate for free, and on-site registration is accepted from one hour before the start of each session.

The exhibition-linked program ‘Find the Ceramics in the Museum’ is a method where participants participate in a quiz via QR code and then directly find the artworks corresponding to the questions in the exhibition hall to check the answers. Upon completing the quiz, participants can take part in a prize drawing at the event zone.

This program will operate every weekend until November 1, and up to 120 people per day can participate on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is free. Prizes include ceramic gift certificates from the Gyeonggi Museum of Ceramic Art art shop and gold coins.

In addition, an SNS follow snack event, a Biennale certification photo event, and a picnic at the Gyeonggi Museum of Ceramic Art outdoor plaza are being operated. If you follow the SNS account and present an admission ticket, you can receive snacks, and visitors who post Biennale certification photos on Instagram will be provided with 5,000 Naver Pay points.

Bean bags, etc., have been prepared in the outdoor plaza so that visitors can rest along with the exhibition.

Ryu In-gwon, CEO of the Korea Ceramic Foundation, said, “We have prepared programs so that people can experience ceramic culture by not just looking at the exhibition, but also by directly touching clay and searching for artworks.”

Meanwhile, the 《Gyeonggi Ceramics Biennale 2026》 is being held at Icheon Cerapia, Gwangju Gonjiam Ceramic Park, and Yeoju Ceramic World until November 1.
