Italian jewelry brand Bvlgari announced that it held the opening event for the exhibition "LIGHT, FORM AND VISION: Roman Heritage in Dialogue with Korean Contemporary Art" at SONGEUN in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 28th.

Collaborating with SONGEUN, this exhibition reinterprets the formative characteristics of the B.zero1 collection, which was inspired by Roman architecture, through the perspectives of Korean contemporary artists.

Attendees included Bvlgari ambassadors such as actors Kim Ji-won, Jang Won-young, and Lee Seo-jin, as well as MONSTA X's SHOWNU, ATEEZ's SAN, Alpha Drive One's Sang-won, figure skater Cha Jun-hwan, model Kai, and rapper BewhY. The attendees wore pieces from the B.zero1 collection styled to their individual tastes.

Kim Ji-won paired a B.zero1 lock chain necklace in white gold with matching bracelets and earrings. Jang Won-young added a Bvlgari Tubogas watch to a B.zero1 chain necklace, bracelet, and ring in rose gold.

Born in 1999, B.zero1 is a collection that combines Roman architectural heritage with Bvlgari's design elements. The ring designs reflect the structural features of the Colosseum, the brand logo, and the spiral forms of Tubogas, later expanding the product line to include necklaces and bracelets. The collection has continued to evolve its design by utilizing various materials such as ceramic, marble, and bronze, and through collaborations with architect Zaha Hadid and artist Anish Kapoor.

Six artists and artist teams—GRAYCODE and jiiiiin, Kim Ji-su, Park Jun-beom, Lee Eun-u, Jeong Yeong-ho, and Choi Seong-im—are participating in this exhibition. Through approximately 20 works utilizing various media including painting, sculpture, video, installation, and sound, the exhibition explores the architectural forms and spiral structures of B.zero1, as well as themes of new beginnings and creative courage.

Park Jun-beom deals with the accumulated time and space of architecture by overlapping images and perspectives of the Colosseum and the surrounding city. Jeong Yeong-ho visualizes spiral structures where repetition and evolution coexist, while Lee Eun-u expands the arches and corridors of the Colosseum into relationships of lines, planes, space, and movement. Kim Ji-su expresses layers of time, space, and memory through the medium of scent, and Choi Seong-im examines the possibilities before a form is created and new beginnings through installations and sculptures using everyday materials. GRAYCODE and jiiiiin sensorially convey invisible flows through sound, vibration, and resonance.

A Korean audio docent featuring narration by Bvlgari ambassador actor Byeon Woo-seok is also provided. Through this, visitors can explore the themes contained within the exhibition and the artworks.

The B.zero1 Experience pop-ups linked to the exhibition will be held sequentially in Seoul and Busan. Starting at the Lotte Department Store Avenuel World Tower in Seoul on October 30, they will continue at Shinsegae Department Store Centum City in Busan on December 3, and at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam in Seoul on December 24. The pop-ups will offer collection displays and experiences wearing the jewelry.

The exhibition is held at SONGEUN from October 29 to November 14. Viewing hours are from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM daily, and admission is free. Advance reservation is required, and docent tours are conducted at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Docent tours must be applied for separately from general viewing reservations.
