Kim Woo-hyung will unveil his new works through 《Taste of Green 2026》, which is being held at Herald Gallery in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, until November 8. This exhibition is a project co-planned by Herald Artday and TEAM TOG, adding new works to existing ones to examine the issues of human psychology, choice, and responsibility that the artist has explored.

Kim Woo-hyung has been visualizing anxiety and internal cracks using oil painting, 3D rendering, digital art, and more. In his representative series, 〈Black Ice Series〉, he explores the tension between hidden anxiety, beauty, and collapse.

The new work 〈OMEN〉, as the title suggesting "omen" implies, focuses on the human attitude of recognizing a warning but not accepting it. Using a crow with spread wings as the central figure, it evokes the image of repeating similar choices even after learning lessons from past failures and disasters. It poses the question that how one accepts and responds to a warning is more important than the fact that the warning exists.

〈Sworn〉, based on the meaning of "to swear," expresses the gap between promise and action. Through the image of a wolf trapped in ice, it asks whether the determination not to repeat past mistakes leads to actual behavior. It is a work that makes one reflect on whether the changes declared in words are realized in subsequent choices.

While the two works utilize different animal images, they share the commonality of dealing with human contradictions that appear in the process of turning known facts into actions. Kim Woo-hyung visually reveals the gap between perception and practice through symbolic figures and images of ice.

《Taste of Green 2026》 is an exhibition project involving creators from various fields under the theme "THE SENSED–Sustainability felt through senses." It focuses on examining the theme of sustainability through works, materials, and sensory experiences.
