Xavis (254120, CEO Kim Hyeong-cheol), a specialist in X-ray inspection equipment, announced that it will participate in 2026 Food Week Korea (the 21st Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition) from November 4 to 7 at COEX in Seoul to showcase its FSCAN series of food contaminant inspection equipment.

2026 Food Week Korea is an international food exhibition co-hosted by COEX and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. This year, the event will be held at COEX Halls A, B, and C, as well as The Platz, with participation from domestic and international food companies from 30 countries.

Xavis plans to introduce the FSCAN series, which consists of X-ray-based inspection equipment for food and pharmaceuticals, at booth A7201.

FSCAN is designed to inspect the interior of products for contaminants during food production and packaging processes. Utilizing X-rays, the equipment is engineered to detect not only metals but also non-metallic contaminants such as bone, glass, stone, and plastic.

Products in which contaminants are detected during the inspection process are automatically removed from the production line.

At this exhibition, the company will present its new model, FSCAN-4280D(R-B), which is an inspection system featuring an integrated rejector.

Xavis operates an inspection equipment lineup that caters to various production processes, including food, bakery, meat processing, nuts, coffee, bulk grains, bottles, cans, and pharmaceutical packaging.

Since first developing food contaminant inspection equipment in 2003, Xavis has continued its business in this field.

The company explained that it secured an order for bone and contaminant inspection equipment in Greece this year and is currently exporting products to approximately 20 countries, including the United States, Japan, and China.

The company is also expanding its production and sales methods. In August, it opened a second factory that increased production capacity by 1.5 times compared to existing levels, and in September, it introduced a rental and lease program to reduce the initial equipment purchase burden.

“We plan to introduce the functions of X-ray equipment, which can inspect contaminants that are difficult to identify with metal detectors alone, at the exhibition site,” a Xavis official said. “Through the rental and lease programs, we will also support the adoption of equipment by small and medium-sized food companies.”

In addition to the food and pharmaceutical sectors, Xavis operates inspection equipment businesses for semiconductors, secondary batteries, and PCBs. The company received a technical innovation award at the InterBattery Awards 2026 this year and signed successive supply contracts for battery X-ray inspection equipment this past September and October.
