In the permanent exhibition halls, commentaries will continue across different eras and fields. In the Prehistory and Ancient Age Hall, visitors can look into the collection process of the National Museum's holdings and the history of the museum, while the Gaya Hall will introduce cases of analyzing traces left on pearl and leather through conservation science. In the Silla Hall, the symbolism of gold ornaments belonging to the royal family and aristocracy will be addressed.
In the Medieval and Early Modern Hall, the Buddhist faith and art of Goryeo will be examined from an art historical perspective, and in the Joseon Hall, the production and technical characteristics of metal movable type will be explained scientifically. In the Calligraphy and Painting Hall, traditional pigments and production materials used in Joseon calligraphy and painting will be examined from the perspective of conservation science. In the Sculpture and Crafts Hall, the stylistic characteristics and appreciation methods of blue-and-white porcelain, pottery production techniques, and cultural heritage restoration research will be introduced.
On the History Road, the efforts of the Joseon period to visualize geographical information will be examined under the theme "Unfolding the Daedongyeojido." At the Children's Museum, commentaries tailored to children's levels will be conducted through "Stories of Pyeongsaengdo for Children" and "Cultural Heritage on the Dining Table."
'Conversation with a Curator' can be attended without a separate reservation, and detailed schedules and commentary themes can be checked on the National Museum of Korea website.
