Aria Gallery is hosting the solo exhibition "Garden in My Mind" by Jeon Hyeong-ju until November 4, featuring serene natural landscapes created through extensive fine-line brushwork and personal memories.
Individual, detailed brushstrokes gather to form a single natural landscape. These scenes contain the sensations and memories perceived and felt by the artist, offering an additional layer of enjoyment for viewers. Aria Gallery is hosting the solo exhibition "Garden in My Mind" by artist Jeon Hyeong-ju until November 4.
In the works of Jeon Hyeong-ju, one must observe the "brushstrokes" closely. The artist completes serene natural landscapes through fine-line work, drawing and layering countless lines with a slender brush. Consequently, each piece embodies the extensive time and effort the artist invested in moving the brush.
However, the artist does not simply transpose the nature visible before them. By melting the emotions felt or the memories that arise while observing actual scenery into the work, the artist creates a unique landscape. Just as different people feel different emotions when looking at the same nature, the artist's works start from reality but reflect personal experiences and perspectives.
This exhibition showcases the garden in the artist's mind created through this process. Visitors can appreciate the overall atmosphere of the works from a distance before approaching to examine the small traces left by the brush tips. Discovering the numerous brushstrokes that constitute a single landscape and contemplating the artist's time and senses contained within them is one way to enjoy this exhibition.
Aria Gallery is open from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM without closing days.
