The main contents of the ‘2026 Museum and Art Museum Week,’ which took place at museums and art museums across the country last May, will meet visitors again at the DCC starting on the 18th. The Korean Museum Association Museum and Art Museum Week Secretariat will set up a promotional booth at the ‘2026 Museum and Art Museum Expo’ held from the 18th to the 20th, introducing the programs and collection contents presented during this year's Museum and Art Museum Week.

This booth is designed not just to introduce past events but to allow visitors to participate directly. First, visitors can identify their own viewing preferences through the ‘Find My Museum Experience’ test. This program helps people find the style that suits them among ‘Museum × Enjoy,’ which focuses on enjoying exhibitions, education, and experiences; ‘Museum × Stroll,’ which involves touring local museums, art museums, and surrounding cultural attractions together; and ‘Museum × Meet,’ which focuses on the stories within collections.

Representative collections from 50 museums and art museums nationwide, which were introduced last May under the theme ‘First, and the Beginning,’ will also be presented again. The selected collections will be reintroduced in the form of illustrations and cards, and experiential events such as quizzes where visitors can guess the collections and official goods capsule machines will also be prepared.

Jo Han-hee, president of the Korean Museum Association, stated that museums and art museums are spaces where people do not just stop at appreciating works and relics, but enjoy them in their own ways and discover new stories, expressing hope that visitors will find a museum experience that suits them through this expo.

Meanwhile, the ‘2026 Museum and Art Museum Expo,’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korean Museum Association, will be held until the 20th under the theme ‘K-Culture, Museums Opening the Future—Expansion, Transformation, and Future-Oriented.’ Museums, art museums, and related institutions from across the country are expected to participate and present exhibitions, experiences, and educational programs.
