Designer PARKCHOONMOO to Unveil 2027 S/S Collection in Paris… Theme is ‘VOID’

Designer PARKCHOONMOO will unveil the 2027 S/S collection of his signature line ‘PARKCHOONMOO’ at Galerie Bertrand Grimont in Paris, France, on September 29.

The theme of this collection is ‘VOID (無)’. PARKCHOONMOO intends to express the concept of 'VOID'—representing empty space, emptiness, and the state of being on the boundary between life and death—through the clothing, materials, and silhouettes of this season.

The collection applies voluminous silhouettes based on minimal designs. A characteristic of this season is the reconstruction of elements inspired by traditional Korean clothing, such as goreum (ribbons), dongjeong (collars), and fastenings, into structural details.

The materials used include organza, cotton, linen, satin silk, and knits. The three-dimensional structure of the garments is expressed through a layering method that overlaps different materials. The color palette is centered around black, ivory, and white, with red used as a point color.

Stitches, patchwork, tassels, quilting, pleats, and loop decorations are also utilized as design elements. An inside-out technique, which exposes the seam allowances that are typically located on the inside during the sewing process, was also applied.

In this collection, PARKCHOONMOO focused on composing detailed elements taken from traditional Korean clothing, combinations of different materials, and structural silhouettes into a single design.

The ‘PARKCHOONMOO 2027 S/S Collection’ is scheduled to be unveiled on the 29th at Galerie Bertrand Grimont in Paris.
