An exhibition that views sustainability through a new perspective, spanning fashion, craft, contemporary art, and design, will be held in Seoul.

HOTEL ANTEROOM SEOUL announced that it will host the exhibition ‘TASTE OF GREEN’ at GALLERY9.5 on the second basement floor from the 19th to October 5.

Rather than treating sustainability as a topic limited to the environmental field, this exhibition unfolds it through various genres such as fashion, craft, contemporary art, objects, and space. It examines the meaning of sustainability through the process of looking at existing materials, objects, and familiar forms from a different perspective and recombining them.

Instead of focusing on new materials themselves, the exhibition presents works that rediscover the value and possibilities of things that already exist. Creators embed their own meanings of sustainability into their works by changing the use of materials or by deconstructing and reconstructing forms.

Creators from different fields, including fashion designers, craft artists, fine artists, and object artists, participate to express their own questions regarding materials, forms, uses, and values through their works. By placing works of different genres in one space, the exhibition is organized so that sustainability can be viewed as a single cultural experience.

GALLERY9.5, where the exhibition is held, is a cultural space operated by HOTEL ANTEROOM SEOUL. The hotel has been introducing works of domestic and international artists and creators and conducting exhibitions and exchange programs. This exhibition was also planned in a way that fashion, art, craft, and design meet in the everyday space of a hotel.

‘TASTE OF GREEN’ poses questions about how to view and choose the objects and materials used in daily life, rather than making grand declarations about sustainability. It presents the process of re-examining existing things and imbuing them with new meaning and use as a way of sustainability.

An official from HOTEL ANTEROOM SEOUL stated, "We prepared this exhibition as a space to create experiences where art and culture naturally meet in daily life," adding, "We hope visitors can view sustainability not as a single message, but as a new sense and experience."

Director Moon Jeong-uk said, "I intended to propose a form where fashion and contemporary art, craft and design meet within a single scene, breaking the boundaries of the exhibition and the characteristics of the hotel space," and added, "I hope GALLERY9.5 continues its role as a platform that introduces the work of domestic and international creators and creates cultural exchange."
